Pre-School Manager
I joined Smart Start in 2016. I have 9 years experience in Childcare where I began working at Smart Start. I have recently completed a BA Honours degree in early childhood studies. I also work in the out of hours club at our local school.
From a young teenager, I have been involved in my younger siblings learning and development. I gained a sense of pride and achievement, as I helped them grow and learn. Having the patience to explain new words, sentences and concepts with clarity, to a younger audience has pushed me forward to pursue a career in early childhood education.

Fiona
Deputy Pre-School Manager
My name is Fiona and I have been working at Smart Start since June 2019.
Prior to this, I have worked with children for 11 years. I really enjoy the challenge that the job brings as well as getting to know little ones and their families.
I live in the nearby village of Riccall with my husband and our 3 children Lauren, Harry and Jessica. We also have 2 cats called tigger and Lenny and 2 rabbits named Fluffy and Louie.
In my spare time, I love getting out and about with my family and friends, discovering new places along with trips to the cinema and restaurants.

I’m Sarah and I’ve been in childcare for over 10 years.
I started out as a private nanny after finishing my military career, and have since worked in schools nurseries and Pre-School's
I am married with two children Rose and Ivy. We have recently moved from York to Snaith to enjoy the countryside.
